There has been extensive research on the development of low loss materials in the past few decades with embedded optical channels having shown promise in transporting high-speed digital signals within PCBs. Since optical channels are still under development, currently we make use of materials such as Rogers 4350B and Panasonic Megtron 6 which are low-loss materials.
